Man what I wouldn’t give to be able to use speakers at work.

Now I hate the drone of office noise as much as the next person. The white noise generators going at full tilt, murming conversations and a few hundred PC’s all crammed into a few thousand square feet. But I also hate being completely cut off from everything that’s going on around me. I imagine some people like being place in a sort of cocoon, just the screen and music and nothing else. But I hate that, I hate the feeling of pumping noise into my ears just to replace what else is going on.

I don’t want to eradicate the noises that are going on around me, I just want to dress them up a bit.

Also, being sneaked up on because you can’t hear sucks…
